A full time role in the litigation team, carrying your own docket of right to food and land cases.
We are recruiting a Legal Officer for the Social Justice and Strategic Litigation programme.
The role
You will carry your own docket, draft submissions to ministries and standards bodies, and support the team on the larger strategic files. You will spend real time outside Kampala, in district courts and at clinics.
What we are looking for
- Admitted to the Ugandan bar, at least three years in practice
- Public interest, land or human rights litigation experience
- Comfortable explaining a legal position to someone who has never met a lawyer
